Admittedly there are times when I recognize I’m being unkind to myself. Saying things that make me feel bad about myself. My body, my worth, my competence.
If and when I recognize it, I’m able to pause. To take a deep breath, and work to correct my negative self talk.
But to do that I need to be present, even when I’m alone. Especially when I’m alone.
That subtle shift gives me a clear frame of mind. The opportunity to reset, start again, and be my best me for today.
